3 babies in 1 day

There's something to say about the excitement that surrounds babies being born. I have really enjoyed my pregnancy because I also get to share the experience with my girlfriends! Although, it wasn't as enjoyable for me in the very beginning before I found out I was pregnant... considering my personal circumstances of not being able to get pregnant when everyone else was... it was difficult to accept, but yet I was still genuinly happy for my friends.

So yesterday, Thursday, September 18th, THREE of my five pregnant girlfriends all had their babies. While in different cities, it was a rush of joy and excitement for me to hear of each one and know that they are all healthy (as well as the moms, dads and siblings).

My friend Pahla and her husband Joe of Appleton welcomed a baby girl.
Olivia Ann, 6 lbs. 9 oz., 19.5" long

My friend Sarah and her husband Adam of St. Cloud, MN welcomed a baby girl.
Margaret ("Maggie") Agnes, 6 lbs. 11 oz., 19" long

My friend Tina and her husband of Green Bay welcomed a baby boy.
Nicholas Edward, 8 lbs. 4 oz., 20" long.

So that covers 3 of 5 friends. It will be a race to the end for myself and Jamie who is due only 3 days before me. Lastly, Toni is due 1 month after me. Looks like it's gonna be a great Christmas full of baby-surprise!!!! Actually, Jamie knows she is having a girl, and I know I am having a boy, I just don't know what Toni is having. They are keeping it a secret until the baby is born. That would rip me apart - I would be the worst secret keeper, so it's a good thing she didn't tell me! :)

All this excitment of Oliva, Maggie, and Nicholas being born has really got me anxious to meet our little bundle of loving joy. I'm ready to get the baby's room cleaned out, carpets shampoo'd, and baby furniture moved in. Tom has even mentioned how "cool" it's going to be to have a little one scampering about the house. I know our little guy and our loving dog, Theodore, will be best friends and I'm looking forward to watching that relationship develop.

this is an expression that I ordered from my Uppercase Living party. I can't wait to put it up in the baby's room!!

Well, I've got some time yet before our little boy arrives, so I best be off to bed for a restful night (of the few I have left) because there is more excitement which lies ahead tomorrow....

Tomorrow, Saturday, my new Sectional couch and ottoman will arrive!!!! YEAH!!! The side table will come in another week or so, and Tom's dream chair will come the first week in November. I'm just SO looking forward to plopping on my new couch and not moving for at least an hour, maybe two..... I'll share pics of it later after I peel my pregnant rear end off the couch... IF that's even possible... LOL :)
